Fursdon House at Cadbury near Exeter is a 17th Century country house restyled in the Regency period which has been home to the Fursdon family for over 750 years. The house has considerable architectural significance and is much valued for the family's long stewardship and conservation work. Our group will have exclusive access in the morning and will be given a tour of the house and access to the landscaped gardens which are a showcase of flowers and foliage with extensive views of the countryside. The visit will include coffee/tea and cakes.                                   The afternoon will be spent at Knightshayes Court, NT where lunch can be taken ( not included in the cost of the trip ) This Gothic Revival Mansion near Tiverton, designed by William Burgess for the Heathcoat-Amory family, has one of the finest gardens in the South-West. It boasts a masterpiece of architectural planting and is home to one of the most outstanding botanical collections in the UK.
