The Newt is a country estate with magnificent gardens and a luxury Spa Hotel close to Castle Cary. It has been featured on TV in Monty Don's series on English Gardens. These have been shaped over the last 200 years by successive enthusiasts and mix ornamental and produtive elements Having recently visited the Newt, i was visibly impressed with the really magnificent gardens and the size of the site and immediately thought it would make a very good visit for WSNTA members, one not to be missed, particularly if you love gardens.
