Lets visit this stunning baroque 17th Century English country house set in an ancient deer park. The Manor of Dyrham was recorded in the Domesday Book 1086 and the limestone has has been expanded to include significant Italianate features, Doric columns and pavilions. The sumptuous interior has a major collection of artworks, Delftware and china with a strong Dutch influence. The house is set in 274 acres, home to a herd of deer and extensive Grade 1 listed gardens. The house and gardens have been used for numerous film and television locations such as the film "Remains of the Day" and the TV series "Poldark".                                                                                                       We will have a comfort stop en-route. There is a cafe located at the Old Lodge in the "Parkland", and also picnic tables thwere with additional picnic areas on the grass in the garden's orchard and on the East Front in front of the house. There is also a Tea Room and Shop.
