Come with us for a day out in Cheltenham. The most complete Regency town in Britain, Cheltenham is brimming with history. As you stroll along the promenade, it’s easy to see why it became the hip 18th century hang out for holidaying Brits, after the enterprising Henry Skillicorne unearthed its health-giving spa waters – even gaining the Royal Seal of Approval after the visit of the then-reigning monarch, George III. The town is a wonderful mix of the traditional and the new, nestling against the Cotswolds.

There will be a coffee stop at Sanders World on the way. There is an optional visit to “The Wilson” – Gloucestershire’s premier Art Gallery and Museum. Home to an internationally significant museum collection of exceptional quality and variety, changing displays of their Designated Arts and Crafts Movement collection, fine art collections, and The Open Archive, which houses fascinating archives relating to Antarctic explorer Edward A. Wilson, Cheltenham’s history, and the Emery Walker Library.

For those wishing to shop there is an abundance of independent and much loved High Street shops. Also, of course, a range of eating opportunities from street food to fine dining.
