Many of the exhibits at the amazing American Museum at Claverton can only be seen here or in America. It is a unique experience in Britain and highly recommended.

In an 1820 manor house, the museum is set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Limpley Stoke valley, on the outskirts of Bath. The gardens are a joy to explore, and the museum itself features over 12,000 exhibits spanning 2000 years of American history, showcasing the finest examples in Europe of American decorative arts, textiles, quilts and folk art and Dallas Pratt's great collection of Renaissance maps. The 'American Road Trip' exhibition features the origins and stories behind this cultural phenomenon and takes us on thousands of miles of discovery along Route 66 and beyond.

We will take a scenic route through the Mendip Hills, with a refreshment break on the way.

The Garden Deli Restaurant serves American inspired light lunches, or you could bring a picnic.
