Once home to the Augustinian monks and having survived confiscation by Charles 1 , Port Eliot is a unique treasure trove with the rare distinction of being a Grade 1 listed house with Grade 1 listed gardens. The house has been lived in for over 1000 years and is believed the oldest continualy inhabinated dwelling in the UK. It is full of the accumulated treasures of such a long history. As such, it is a curious , individual and virtualy unique location full of wonder and elegant obscurities. We will be divided into several groups to have a tour of the State rooms, Art collection and Historical Basement. There is also the estate pub ' The Eliot Arms ' for lunch.'
